So thanks, 2008. You've treated the Hambly family well. And welcome, 2009--I can't wait to see what changes you bring.

Reed was a very cute and very tired candy cane baby
Reed made a new friend, Oscar. Oscar is my friend Kenna's little boy and was born 5 days before Reed. Their matching outfits were a fortunate yet unplanned occurance.

We had a great Christmas and got some sweet stuff although no slanket nor snouggie made its way under the tree. Should have paid more shipping and handling I guess.
Here are some of our family pics
We don't have pics back from the Reed photo shoot but you can bet your bottom dollar you will see them soon. Probably not tomorrow however.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

I did a bit of research and the competitor product it refers to in the commercial is called a slanket. $40 dollars for a slanket, no way I'll take a $20 snuggie anyday. The best part. It's a two-fer. Just pay additional shipping and handling. Yes please!!! I'll see you in 7-12 business days snuggie. Thanks for changing my life forever.

I have heard people say two-fer but never have I, nor have I ever imagined I would have, seen it in print. It made me literally start laughing out loud and I decided to rip off the tag to share with the blogosphere. As I ripped the tag off I imagined the converstion I would have with the security gaurd at the store when asked to empty my pockets because they saw me on camera. This is how I imagined it going down:
SG: Empty your pockets
SG:Why did you rip off that Tag? It's not even the price tag.
Me: Did you read the tag?
SG: (Reads tag) laughs. two-fer, now I don't care who you are that's funny.
Me: I just got the blue collar comedy tour volume 6 do you want to come over and watch it?
SG: Sure Do.

The cover...I designed it. Sorry for the picture quality. I had to turn the flash off, so it is kind of dark.
I wrote and designed this article!
I designed this one!

This is the only picture I got...we were running late. You can't really see his outfit, but it is super cute. Reed was a champ in my magazine class. He sleptthrough the entire thing and everyone oohed and aahed over how cute he is. I had a little over an hour break between my first and second classes, so I fed him in...a mother's lounge. I doubt you find those at many universities. Then we went to my bible as literature class--and Reed was not happy. He woke up about 30 minutes into the class and started fussing. Then he started crying, so we went into the hall. I changed him and discovered he was very messy (no wonder he was fussy), then tried to go back to class. Reed would have none of that. He decided to stay fussy, so we spet class standing and rocking right outside the door.
Here is Reed at the end of the day, glad school is over:
What I learned about Reed today:
- He likes to sleep during school.
- If he doesn't like a class, he just cries.
- He doesn't like the Bible.
I think we have a few interesting school years ahead of us. In better news, tomorrow is my LAST day of school! After tomorrow, I will be a proud BYU grad. Wohoo!

What Reed was doing this week at 4:05 p.m.
Hiding under his blankie and squirming
Giving me a mad face

This is my mom. She drove four hours in the middle of the night to be here on time for Reed's arrival. Since then, we have put her to work taking care of us! We are so grateful to have her here. It's amazing how becoming a mom makes you so much more grateful for your own mom.
This is my dad. He got to meet Reed yesterday, and both were pretty excited, if you can't tell from the picture. He is such a great grandpa and I am so happy Reed has him as an example!

Reed is doing amazingly well. They are not concerned about his breathing issues or temperature. He has sucessfully breastfed twice and pooped once. I changed my first diaper ever. Meg said I did it like a champ. I tend to agree with her.
Reed is going to go hang out in the nursery for awhile to let Mommy and Daddy rest for awhile and catch up on some sleep. We are both going on about 3 hours for 2 days. Not very much.
Megan is doing well. She is up walking and is just very tired. We are all happy and healthy. We love our little man. Good Night and thanks for caring about us.
