It's official

We now have two things with Reed's name on I guess there is no going back now. Hopefully we don't fall out of love with the name Reed in the next 60 (that's right, only 60) days.

We covered the letters in the excess fabric from the crib set my mom made for Reed (Ryan's idea). Cute, huh?

Reed's Third Photo Shoot

Hang Loose
We went to the doctor's office yesterday for another ultrasound. Reed's little kidneys measured a little less little than they should have been the first time so they have been monitoring him. We didn't mind because we got to take another look at our baby boy. The ultrasound tech decided he was in a good spot for a 3-D shot so she switched machines and hooked us up with a free 3-D ultrasound. The kidneys are looking good and should be of no concern. Good news for all of us.
Here's the pics.

Sexy Lexie

Happy 50th!
What a cutie.

Hallelujah moment

I have been avoiding the issue of natural childbirth vs. unnatural (?) childbirth (i.e. no medication). Why, you ask? Because I was worried that I wouldn't be able to use the miracle I like to call an epidural. While I do admire all the women who give birth naturally, I have no desire whatsoever to join their ranks. But for a while, we were unsure of the cost of an epidural and if our insurance would cover it. I heard it was $1000 and was going to try to just suck it up and give birth without it to save us a bunch of money. I was trying to accept the fact that I was going to have to push a baby out of my body and feel the entire thing. But, I found out that our insurance covers the shot. Bring on the drugs, baby.

Name that Painting

I can get extra credit for giving the name and artist of this picture. It is from a Bible story, but that's all I know. Does anyone have any ideas? Have you seen this painting? Do you know what it is called or who painted it? If not, do you any ideas about what the subject could be?

Just when you thought we had disappeared...

So it's been a while. Just so you know we are still okay and functioning, I decided I had better post something. So what have we been doing since August 12, our last post?

1. Finishing summer semester. We both finished with "A"s. Wohoo!

2. Going on vacation. We went to St. George, to Simi, to Aptos, back to St. George, then home to Provo. We saw Les Miserables at Tuacahn, went to Chinatown, saw a Dodger game (and yes, we ate Dodger dogs...but no, they didn't win), went to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, ate really good ice cream, braved Justin and Jenn's driveway (one of the scarier experiences of my life), and did a lot of chillin' and Olympic-watching.

3. Starting school again. Ryan has 13 credits. I have 6.

4. Starting work. Ryan started a new job working with a business professor. We both went back to Sizzler. I also went back to my internship at BYU.

5. Finishing work. Last night was my last night at Sizzler. They even got me a cake!

6. Baby-ing. I am 28 weeks, and we have officially entered into the third trimester. We bought a ton of clothes for el nino on vacation and came up with a new name: Rico. What do you think?

And that's pretty much it. Sorry we don't have any pictures. I left my camera cord in California. Once I have it again, I will delight you all with our beautiful faces.
