It's raining, it's pouring...

When you grow up living in the desert, rain is a novelty. When it rains for four days straight, it's a miracle.

This last week was miraculous.

I love the rain. And apparently Reed does, too. So when it rained basically every day last week, we were both super pumped. When it was not raining too hard, we ventured outside to play.

For whatever reason, Reed really, really wanted to wear his construction hat. It was raining anyway--and it matched his sweater--so we went with it.

When it rained harder, we sat by the front door to watch the water come down.
One of those flowers was for me. He kept the other one for himself to smell.

Reed thought that playing in the rain was pretty much the best thing ever. He didn't even mind that we had to double-cuff his pants so they wouldn't get too wet. Every day since it has stopped raining, he has demanded we open the blinds so he can check if it is raining. We might be waiting a while for that to happen again...

Come to Kirksville, MO! It rains ALL the time but it's not really safe to go outside cause there is lightning ALL the time too and it's always extremely close.
