FHE isn't always this amazing

Ever since Reed experienced the joy of painting, he has wanted to paint basically non-stop. And since Ryan hasn't yet been able to experience a painting session with Reed, we decided that painting would be a perfect Family Home Evening activity. We were each tasked with painting a scene from a scripture story, then telling our story to the rest of the family. Reed and I choose scenes from the Book of Mormon and Ryan decided to go with a Bible story.

First, Reed's creation:
When we asked him what it was, he told us it was Nephi and his big boat (1 Nephi 17). Apparently, the big boat is that large purple mass at the top. The blue squiggles are the water.

Here's my beautifully rendered painting:
In case you can't tell, it is a depiction of Lehi's vision (1 Nephi 8). I know, it's amazing, right?

And, finally, Ryan's masterpiece:
Ryan decided to paint Jesus healing the blind man (John 9:1-7). In his words..."It's kind of abstract."

If you're looking for any new wall art, you obviously know where to come.
