Asher loves songs with actions--songs like "Itsy Bitsy Spider," "The Wise Man/Foolish Man," "Popcorn Popping," and "It's Raining, it's Pouring..."
Dealing with Reed during a post-nap play sesh in Asher's crib.
When he's laying on his back, Asher tries really hard to do sit ups. It's pretty cute and more of a core workout than my core workout.
Just looking cute.
Asher loves oatmeal. I was giving him small amounts of oatmeal, then finishing him off with a four-ounce bottle. Now, if he's eating oatmeal, he will refuse the bottle--so we give him more oatmeal instead. In addition to his oatmeal, he eats about 36 ounces of formula each day.
His model pose.
Asher is still taking three naps and waking up once at night to eat.
Rockin' sweet kicks. Ryan bought these before we were even married :)
Asher gets so excited in the bath that he spends the duration flailing his arms and splashing. At the end of the bath, his little tummy is all red from getting hit so much.
Eating his blanket. It's quite tasty, apparently.
Asher has been able to roll from his tummy to his back for a while, and now he's working on back to tummy. He can make it to his side. I think he'll have it down soon!
Hanging out with Reed in Mommy and Daddy's bed.
Now that Asher can roll to his side, he spends his time wiggling and rolling to move around. Today he made it in a complete circle. This ability to move has created a little problem at naptime--he just wants to roll around his crib and play instead of sleeping!
This worm guy is Asher's favorite toy. It has a sensor, so when he moves or touches it, it lights up and sings. It entertains him more than any other toy we have. Reed calls this toy Asher's "Yippee" because on of the things that worm says is, "Yippee!!!!!!"
Asher loves to kick. He raises his legs high in the air then sends them crashing down.
All ready for church.
The teeth I thought were coming in still haven't made their appearance...so maybe I was wrong. But Asher still does love to chew everything--hard. He has some serious gum power. When I get him after his naps, his blanket is generally soaked from chewing on it so much.
Eating his rings.
Smash likes to help hold his bottle and--if it's not too full--can hold it all by himself.
Just having fun upside down in the doorway.
Happy five months, Smash!
